U03 — What is shared hosting?

A shared server, a space of your own

Several websites share the same machine, each in its own separate space. You don't manage the system or the server updates: we take care of them. It's the simplest and cheapest way to put a website online.

Need a machine all to yourself? Virtual private servers are coming soon to Rikochi.

Common questions

My domain is elsewhere. Will it work?

Yes. Keep your domain with your registrar: we give you an IP address and you create the DNS record. Our tip: go through a CDN such as Cloudflare.

Can you move my existing website?

Yes: we can migrate it for you at a low price, on quote.

Could other sites slow mine down?

Each space has reserved resources, depending on the plan you choose.

What if my site grows?

Move up to the next plan. To go further, virtual private servers are coming soon.

Can I host an online shop?

Yes, with WordPress and a shop plugin for example. Choose the Shop or Pro plan for the headroom you need.

Your website deserves its place online.
