U04 — Mods and maps
The Workshop, hassle-free
01
List your mods
Workshop IDs and mod names go into the server configuration.
02
The server downloads them
At startup, it fetches the mods from Steam by itself. Players get the same ones when they connect.
03
Add maps
New towns are added to the base map. They need more memory.
04
Back up before adding any
Removing a mod mid-game can damage a save. Make a one-click backup first.
Survivor notes
Which version of the game?
Stable or unstable branch, your choice, from the panel.
If I die, do I lose everything?
Your character, yes. The world and your bases stay on the server for your friends.
Are lots of mods a problem?
No, but they need memory and make startup longer. The plan finder takes this into account.
Can I continue an existing game?
Yes: upload your game folder through the file manager or SFTP, then restart.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, anytime from your client area, without losing your game.
Day 1. All still to do.
